  2. Wedding Hire: Help Picking Your Venue

Deciding on a wedding venue is a huge choice for a couple. Picking the right place is the sum of a lot of decisions affecting all kinds of aspects of the big day. As wedding hire experts, we deliver to many wedding venues across the region and we thought we would offer our own pointers based on what we’ve seen.

How long do you have your venue for?

Like any other business, a venue will want to maximise the amount of time their space is in use. This means that they can be quite strict about how long before and after your wedding the space will be available – which can impact heavily on how you plan your day.

If your venue is insistent on you only having the space for a short time, you will need to think about how this time constraint a

  3. Send it back dirty do's and don’ts

Let’s face it, washing up is a horrible job. It’s the last thing you want to do when the morning after a big event – particularly if you’re feeling a little bit delicate or tired after an evening’s excesses. We offer a “send it back dirty” service on all our crockery hire, cutlery hire and glass hire to give customers the chance to pass the j

  4. Keeping Safe

One of the most important things we have to do before hiring out equipment is to check that it is safe and in good working order. We regularly have our gas catering hire equipment tested by a Gas Safe engineer, while our electrical equipment is PAT tested. But what does that mean? We’ve put together this little blog to explain to you just how keep our customers safe.

    Electrical Hire Equipment and PAT

PAT stands for “Portable Appliance Testing” and is the name for the process where electrical equipment is routinely checked for safety. The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 requires that all electrical

  5. Are you ready for your collection?

The party is over, the wedding is finished, the exhibition is done. All that remains is for your hire equipment to be collected and everything else is just a pleasant memory. While your event is over, our work isn’t done and there are a few things that can help us make our collection from you a speedy and efficient exercise.

    Repack items

There is no need to tell us how bad a hangover can feel. We’re all reasonably experienced in them here, so we know how hard it can be to tidy up the aftermath of a party. However, it’s a job that needs to be done so that we can collect our hire equipment.

    For crockery,

  6. Gazebo Hire Dos and Don’ts

As the days get longer and the evenings get warmer, the amount of gazebo hire we deliver along with other outdoor hire goes up dramatically. If you’ve never hired a gazebo before you might be a little bit unsure about what you need to know – but fear not! We’ve put this guide together to help you understand everything about Gazebos.

    Gazebo Hire: Putting them up

One of the big questions we get asked about gazebo hire is simply how hard they are to install on site. The good news is that they are easy to erect – but we recommend using two people to do the job properly.

Pop-up gazebos work via a telescoping mechanism. When you take a gazebo out of its bag, it will be

  7. Streetfood Hire Dos and Don’ts

While the rain pours and the latest storm ravages its way across the country it’s hard to think about summer; yet it will soon be upon us. Summer brings with it all manner of events from wonderful weddings and fancy fayres to elegant events and food festivals. It’s a time of year when more and more outdoor catering equipment hire is ordered from us and we start to get busier and busier.

With the explosion of street food culture in the UK more and more people are taking the plunge in launching their own pop up food venture. Naturally, the capital expenditure required to buy the equipment to cook street food can be pretty substantial which in turn leads many of these would-be

  8. Catering Hire Questions You Shouldn’t Ask

Although we’re primarily an online company, we do get some queries via telephone. We’re happy to answer any questions about how hiring equipment works, about how to order or about deliveries and collections, some questions leave us a bit cold and concern us as to what will happen with an order.

We’ve put together this guide to help you understand the red flags we see with some questions – and what you can do to avoid them.

“I’ve been let down and I need 400 sets of crockery and cutlery hire for my wedding tomorrow / this weekend”

We can guarantee that in the summer we will get at least one call per week from a frantic individual looking to hire a massive amount of crockery and/or cutlery for almost immediate delivery. It’s a call that almost always is difficult because while we don’t want to turn down orders, at peak times of business they are incredibly difficult to fulfil.

From our experience, it’s hard to believe so many people get let do
